As HITECH fades and Value-Based Care rises, the need for comprehensive, accurate, and actionable clinical and administrative data is even more critical. No single entity will be able to accomplish this on its own. Success requires innovative and coordinated clinical, government, community, and payer partnerships, which can be directed effectively through a statewide governance body. The nature of state health IT governance assumes many flavors across the country. This session brings together both best practices and lessons learned from four unique state models.
Through real-world experience, our panelists will discuss how they’ve advanced statewide goals with a formalized governance structure to convene a variety of stakeholders and align priorities.
With representation from a cross-section of state Health IT governance models, the audience will hear from peers about what’s working in legislated, state-run, public-private partnerships, and organic voluntary efforts.
Presenters will share:
- Collaborative approaches used in their states to convene key stakeholders
- What they would do differently if starting a new program today
- Proven strategies to achieve consensus on priority
- Examples of successes that would not have occurred without collaborative governance efforts
- Their goals for 2022 and beyond
