The pace of change in technology, business, and government continues to accelerate, and states are feeling the impact of change in the planning, execution, and implementation of HHS software application and technology upgrade projects. As states embrace modularity and agile development, staff are faced with not only adopting to the changing system but to also a new way of managing and participating in system design, development, and implementation.
Using organizational change management principles and strategies can assist your staff in making the transition to new performance models and improve the adoption rate of changed operational procedures. Anticipating uncertainty during initial project planning and implementing OCM throughout the project life cycle better equips staff to adapt and reduce the challenges that come with change. During this session we will use case study scenarios to discuss change from multiple stakeholder perspectives and share project management and OCM practices that improve project performance and reduce project risk.
